Kinky? What exactly is kinky anyway?

Some guys I talk to say yes, that they are kinky, you know, they like oral and anal sex. And other guy say oh yes, they are kinky, and they love to have sex with their dogs.

Hmm, just what is kinky? and what isnt?

dictionary.com says:

kinky:
1. Tightly twisted or curled: kinky hair.
2. Slang. Showing or appealing to bizarre or deviant tastes, especially of a sexual or erotic nature: “his appetite for kinky filmmaking, unmitigated by any artistry” (John Simon).

which really doesn't help.. so:

Bizarre: Odd in manner or appearance; fantastic; whimsical; extravagant; grotesque

Deviant: One that differs from a norm, especially a person whose behavior and attitudes differ from accepted social standards.

and, umm, that really didnt help either,, although, I think kinky is something that is different than normal, and how on earth does that tell me anything?

I guess I am going to have to conduct a survery of society's sexual behavour, and from that try to determine what is normal and what is kinky. good grief, this is going to take a while.
